TESOL Admission Requirements

TESOL Program

Each future student is required to take an entrance exam at Queen TESOL Centre. This includes an interview and a writing task.

Students who already hold a valid international English proficiency score can start the course directly, provided they meet one of the following:

• TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 79
• IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 6.5
• Any other recognized international English equivalency test score
• A pass on our in-house entrance exam

Note: An interview is still mandatory even with valid test scores.

TESOL for Children / TESOL for Test Preparation

1. Teachers who already possess a TESOL Certificate or an equivalent international certificate such as CELTA or TEFL can start the program directly.
2. Graduates of the following departments are required to take the Practical Teaching Skills Program (PTS Program) before enrolling:
   • ELT (English Language Teaching)
   • American Culture and Literature
   • English Literature
   • English Translation and Interpreting
3. Candidates who do not meet the criteria in item 1 or 2 must first complete the main TESOL Program before applying to TESOL for Children or TESOL for Test Preparation.
